Di Cope - Artist
The Having Pre-School Children Years
2001-2015
I wasn't always an artist.
I was "good" at art at school, and enjoyed it. My Aunty Cath was good at art, too- but never did anything with her talent. I always vowed I'd never let my talent go to waste. But then I studied Human Biology at Oxford Poly. Then I did a PhD in Biochemistry at the University of Bath. I learned to paint, but was hardly "doing anyting with it"! I worked as a scientist for a number of years, in the Universities of Bath, Bristol, Glasgow and Cambridge. Then I had children. And stopped painting.
Turns out I'm much more confident as an artist than I ever was as a scientist!
