I paint mostly landscapes and big skies, and the countryside where I live.  But sometimes I paint people, or other things.  I  enjoy the challenge of producing "a good likeness" in a portrait.  Please enjoy a saunter through my portraits, though because of the personal nature of a portrait, they are not for sale.  Two were painted as part of the Portraits for NHS Heroes project during the early part of the Covid19 pandemic, and lockdown.

If you're interested, I do accept commissions for portraits.  I work mostly from reference photographs, but would prefer a single sitting, and use of my own photographs if that is possible.
